Breathwork & Rest Coach. Teacher. Your Permission to Claim Ease.

I’m a trauma informed breathwork facilitator, teacher, speaker and Rest coach who’s walked a long and winding path of healing from chronic burnout.

By reconnecting to deep rest practices, my breath and the wisdom of my body, I’ve come home to myself — after living from my head and conditioning most of my life.

I believe that when we restore this essential connection to body, breath and rest, we come into deeper alignment with our innate wholeness, intuition, and nature. We unlock our inner power and create the conditions for more peace, presence and thriving.

At heart, I’m a globetrotting adventurer with a passion for bridging cultures and creating spaces for healing and growth. I blend over 25 years of coaching and facilitation to this space, including leading several groups internationally, living overseas, and travelling to over 50 countries. I bring deep compassion, authenticity and heart to this work.

Creating experiences for rest and renewal in sacred destinations is a an absolute joy, and I can’t wait to share the energy of Peru with you!

  • Don’t worry. We understand that traveling internationally by yourself can feel both exciting and a little daunting, especially if it’s your first time. Our Peru retreat is specifically designed to make solo travelers feel safe, supported, and welcomed from the moment you arrive in this beautiful country.

We pride ourselves on our pre-retreat support and guidance:

Pre-Trip Guidance: As soon as your deposit is placed, you will be invited to private Facebook group so everyone can get to know each other, before the retreat even begins. In addition to the Facebook group, included as a Bonus in the retreat, are 3 group Zoom calls to help in preparing. This means there are opportunities to coordinate flights with one another, so you may be able to fly with one or more pals.

You’ll also receive comprehensive information about travel logistics, options for adding days onto your retreat, what to pack for Peru’s climate, and how to prepare for your journey. This includes insights into Peruvian customs, cultural etiquette, essential phrases in Spanish, and practical tips for navigating everything from currency exchange to local transportation.

Arrival Support: Airport transfers from Cusco International Airport (CUZ) are included in your retreat price for those arriving on October 23rd and departing on October 30th. If you decide, you want to arrive earlier or stay longer than the retreat dates, we will help you arrange for your transfers.

Cultural Immersion: Peru offers an incredibly welcoming culture where solo travelers often feel embraced by the warmth of local hospitality. Our retreat includes guided experiences to help you connect authentically with Peruvian traditions, from sacred Incan site visits to local market tours, all while feeling secure within our group setting.

Community Connection: Our retreats foster a warm, inclusive environment where solo travelers quickly become part of a supportive community. Shared meals featuring healthy and hearty cuisine, group activities and evening gatherings create natural opportunities to connect with fellow retreat participants.

On-Site Assistance: Hacienda Paucartika’s experienced local team provides invaluable cultural insights, as well as our international coordinators who understand the unique needs of solo travelers. We’re available throughout your stay to answer questions, offer guidance, and ensure you feel comfortable exploring this enchanting place.

*Traveling solo is a transformative step toward self-discovery and empowerment. We’re here to ensure your experience of Peru is as safe, smooth, enriching, and unforgettable as possible.

  • For sure!! We’d love to connect with you. Please email Charmaine @ charmaine@charmainerenee.ca with your questions.

Charmaine or Natasha will either answer your questions if they are straightforward or if you prefer, be in touch with you to organize a chat. The vibe is always exploratory and pressure-free.

  • Airport transfers are included to and from Cusco.

You’re responsible for securing your return flights to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco.

Travel and cancellation insurance is highly recommended. See question on travel insurance for more info.

  • Travel insurance is not technically required, but it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for all participants.

    Here’s why this is crucial:

NO REFUNDS Policy: Please understand that we operate under a strict no-refunds policy for all retreat bookings. Once your payment is processed, there are no exceptions for cancellations, changes, or unforeseen circumstances that prevent your attendance.

Essential Coverage: Travel insurance should cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, interruptions, and lost luggage. Given our no-refunds policy, trip cancellation coverage becomes particularly important if illness, family emergencies, or other unforeseen events prevent you from attending.

Medical Protection: While Peru has good healthcare facilities in major areas, medical emergencies can be expensive for international visitors. Comprehensive travel insurance ensures you’re protected for everything from minor injuries to serious medical situations that might require evacuation.

Peace of Mind: With travel insurance, you can book your retreat with confidence, knowing that your investment is protected against circumstances beyond your control. Without it, you risk losing your entire retreat payment if you cannot attend for any reason.

Timing Matters: Purchase your travel insurance within 3-7 days of making your initial retreat deposit to ensure maximum coverage benefits, including coverage for pre-existing medical conditions.

    Cancel for Any Reason Add-On

We recommend considering the Cancel for Any Reason add on to your policy. On top of the usual trip cancellation insurance, this insurance allows you to cancel for any reason and receive a percentage back from your investment.

We cannot stress enough the importance of securing comprehensive travel insurance before your trip. Given our no-refund policy, this protection serves as your safety net for this significant investment in your personal growth and travel experience.

  • A non-refundable $750 USD deposit is required at time of registration/booking.

Balance of trip is due on August 12, 2026 (also non-refundable).

For your protection, trip cancellation insurance for this trip is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and available for purchase through our travel agent or your chosen provider.

We recommend considering the Cancel for Any Reason add on to your policy. On top of the usual trip cancellation insurance, this insurance allows you to cancel for any reason and receive a percentage back from your investment.

  • While we encourage you to experience the activities we’ve thoughtfully designed, participation is entirely optional.

This retreat is about honouring your personal journey and what feels right for you in each moment.

Feel free to take time for rest, quiet reflection, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings whenever you need it.

  • Canadians do not need a visa for tourism in Peru for stays of up to 90 days.

A valid Canadian passport with at least six months of validity from the date of entry is required.

  • The retreat will unfold in the heart of what is known as the Sacred Valley of Peru.

Hacienda Paucartika is located in Lamay, near the city of Cusco. It is situated beneath the Incan city of Huchuy Qosqo and is approximately an hour's drive from Cusco, and about 15 mins from the town of Pisac.

Surrounded by majestic mountains and lush gardens, this sacred space invites you to step into a world where time slows down and the beauty of nature nurtures every moment.

  • Sure can! Email Natasha and we’ll go from there: natashatdespres@gmail.com

  • For sure, the retreat venue can accommodate all dietary restrictions, including gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, and other requests.

We would need to know these preferences at time of booking, or up to 3 weeks prior to the retreat start date.

  • Traveling in Peru can be a safe and enriching experience, especially when you take some basic precautions.

Traveling in a group or with a trusted guide can significantly enhance your safety and help you navigate unfamiliar environments more confidently. We will help you stay informed about local conditions, avoid risky areas, and respect local customs and regulations.

With careful planning and awareness, you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes, vibrant culture, and warm-hearted people of Peru safely.

  • In October, the Sacred Valley has an average high of 20-21 degrees C with average lows of 5-7 degrees C.

You’ll likely want layers and a hat in the cooler mornings and evenings, while the daytimes can be comfortably warm, making lighter layers ideal.  This is considered a transitional shoulder season with a mix of dry and some rainy days, though rain showers are often light.

You will want to bring layers, sweaters, long pants and a warm jacket.

A suggested packing list will be provided at a later time.

  • We’re expecting an intimate group of 12-15 participants, creating a warm, supportive space for deep connection and transformation, all guided by Charmaine.

  • -The energy each of us brings contributes to the collective experience we’re creating together. We invite everyone to step into this space with kindness, presence, and care — for yourself, for Charmaine, and for the group.

-To protect the safety and integrity of our shared experience, Charmaine reserves the right to respectfully ask anyone whose behavior disrupts the safety and integrity of the container (without a refund).

-While this journey may open the door to deep connection (which we wholeheartedly support!), remember, your personal path is yours alone. We encourage you to listen to your inner voice, honour your boundaries, and stay anchored in your truth throughout this week.
