Is life nudging you?

After a lifetime of giving, mid-life has a way of sending us signals that seem to say: “It’s time to come back home to yourself, sweetie”.

The nudges can feel soft like a whisper, almost imperceptible in the noise of life - or like it was in my case - a parade of blaring and relentless sirens.

Whether its our hormones wreaking havoc on our sanity, feeling depleted or burnt out, shifting relationships and roles, or simply a sense that something is missing or needs to change - the nudges are there if we pay attention.

My experience has shown that his “coming home” begins by returning to the landscape of our Body, a terrain many of us were taught to abandon and mistrust long ago.

Life teaches us to turn our gaze from the outer world of demands, expectations, and “shoulds” and reclaim our Bodies as a source of wisdom and direction - like finding a long lost compass.

After years of being upset with my body for “failing me” in its constant fatigue and burnouts, I finally realized it was protecting me from an unsustainable (and inauthentic) way of living, while nudging me closer to what my heart actually wanted.

Everything shifted once I started reconnecting with my body and my heart (rather than just my head and my conditioning).

Returning to the Body: what it looks like

-Trusting our body's fatigue as an invitation to let go of expired ways that don’t serve us anymore: over-giving, overcommitting, people-pleasing. It can begin with a simple No practice.

-Giving space for our true feelings - first with ourselves, and in our closest relationships. A mini daily check in with ourselves can go a long way.

Slowly, gently, and sometimes messily, we come back to the knowing, the whispers, the desires and feelings lost in the hustle to be everything to everyone, and no one to ourselves.

And we do this in the name of our Freedom and our Joy. Because we finally believe that these matter too....

Where to begin

One of the simplest ways of rebuilding or strengthening the relationship with our body and heart is through a short daily check-in, one that easily fits into your day.

I’ve recorded a 3-min guided practice to support you in tuning into your inner compass. A small practice to support you on this journey of self-trust and alignment.

Our bodies are a sacred site of intuition, healing and reclamation. If you're somewhere on this “returning home” journey, I’m right there with you, sister. 💗

Much love,

Charmaine xx
